Aligning With Your Life
You might be on a path right now where you’re feeling called to support your well-being more intentionally. Maybe you're exploring wellness practices, making lifestyle shifts, or just becoming more aware of what you truly want out of life.
But let’s be real—change is hard. And even when it’s positive, there can still be this little part of you that resists it. I feel you on that.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that following your heart will always take you further than following a checklist of what you think you should be doing.
When I was in college, I felt that conflict deeply. While others were having the “traditional” college experience, I felt pulled toward something else. I just wanted to take yoga classes, nerd out over spiritual practices, go to my sport management classes, and chill with my dog. I tried to fit into the college mold—I pushed myself to go out, to party, to keep up—but honestly, it never felt like me.
It wasn’t until I started honoring that misalignment, instead of forcing things, that I began living with more clarity and confidence. If I hadn’t leaned into those quiet moments of self-trust, I wouldn’t be where I am now. And I wouldn’t feel the sense of alignment I do today.
Get Honest With Yourself
Have you noticed something in your life recently that just isn’t sitting right anymore? It could be a relationship, your job, your habits, or even how you’re spending your free time. That little nudge you feel? That’s your inner guidance—and it’s worth listening to.
Maybe things actually do feel really aligned for you right now—and if so, how beautiful is that? There’s no one right way to be on this journey, and your version of peace and alignment is valid, whatever it looks like.
But if something’s off, this is your invitation to get real with yourself. And yes, that might feel scary. But honesty is the first step to creating a life that truly feels like yours.
Let’s Talk About Intention Setting
Whether you write your intentions down or keep them quietly in your mind, setting intentions is a powerful way to check in with your higher self. But it requires something that isn’t always easy: letting go of what no longer aligns.
That might be a habit, a mindset, or even an identity you’ve held onto for a long time. Shedding those layers is what creates the space for what does feel aligned to step in.
So ask yourself:
→ What’s one thing you’re letting go of?
→ And what’s one thing that feels better in its place?
It might be more time for rest, a job that excites your creativity, or a friendship that energizes you. Or maybe you don’t know yet—and that’s okay too. Sometimes the clarity comes after the release.
Realignment Is a Practice
It’s okay if the path forward feels unclear. Sometimes we know we need to make a shift but have no idea what’s on the other side of that decision. And that uncertainty can be paralyzing. We grip tightly to what’s familiar—even when it’s not right—just because the unknown feels too big.
But I’ll tell you what I’ve learned:
There is always something waiting for you on the other side of trust.
Always a reason, a lesson, or a moment that molds you into the person you’re becoming.
So say this with me (yes, out loud!):
“If not this, then something better.”
Let it be your affirmation. Your anchor.
Here's What I’m Reminding Myself (and You):
Release – Let go of the tight grip.
Trust – Believe that you're on the right path.
Perspective – Your world isn’t ending.
Abundance – There’s more for you now, because you’ve made space for it.
I used to spend so much time worrying about what people thought of me—how I would keep friends, how I would be seen if I didn’t do what everyone else was doing. It took years (and lots of unlearning) to start making choices that honored me.
And that’s the journey. One honest decision at a time.
Your Challenge This Month:
Keep moving forward. Slowly. Intentionally.
Keep checking in with what’s real and true for you.
Trust that the right things—people, opportunities, lessons—will meet you when you create space for them.
And don’t forget:
I’m proud of you. For showing up, for questioning things, and for even thinking about aligning with your higher self.
You’ve got this.
